As a reader, our goal is to analyze and to think deeply about what we are reading. Today, you will be in the role of the Discussion Director. You need to generate between four and eight questions that inspire thoughtful discussion . Make sure your questions are not ones that can be answered with a yes or no. We want them to be open ended. Tomorrow, we will use your questions to respectfully and responsibly discuss your book.

DeleteHi Kero,I also wonder why Billy will eat 15 worms for 50 dollars even though Alan might not give him 50 dollars.
DeleteHi John I think you should make the first word in your sentence capital and only add one question mark.
DeleteI wonder why would Billy eat 15 worms just for 50 dollars? Also,I wonder why Billy would eat the 15 worms if he doesn't like worms?I don't understand trust his friend because some people bet something with another person but sometimes the people lie.I also,Wonder why he will fry the worms and he does not eat it like it is it will still taste bad even if you fry it?

ReplyDeleteAs discussion director some sentences I could ask are, why do you think John wanted his brothers to suffer from the mumps so bad? Also, why do you think his father wanted to buy every new invention in town? Why is Mr.Harvey is the only plumber in Adenville? And ,why do you think Mama put Tom and Sweyn in bed to get infected too?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could understand why Billy was having hallucinations about worms climbing up his arms and legs.
ReplyDeleteWhy is fudge so obsessed with money because he ask people a lot about money and he talks mostly about money,so I wonder what made him this way,who made him this way.

ReplyDeleteIn our group we are reading Poppy. We are going to ask some questions that are related to our book. I am going to ask you six questions and they will be on what went on in this chapter that my group read. This is the first question, why do you think Lungwort wanted poppy to go with him to see Mr.Ocax? This is the second question, What do you think Mr.Ocax will do to Poppy if he sees him again? This is the third question, what do you think Mr.Ocax is thinking as he sees Poppy alone with her father? This is the fourth question, will Poppy run away if she gets the chance? This is the last question, will Mr.Ocax not do anything to Poppy.
ReplyDeletewhy is tootsie so mean
ReplyDeleteI wonder why mama makes J.D S.D and T.D all get infected when one of them gets a disease makes them all get it infected instead of just keeping them away from each other? I don't understand why J.D thinks that the silent treatment is worse than a whipping. I also don't get what the book means by "It was just a question of us all learning how to fight good enough for Sweyn to whip every mormon kid his age and for Tom and me to do the same with mormon kids our ages." I found myself wondering why Mr. Harvey doesn't like children? I wonder what a four holder outhouse is?
ReplyDeleteIn our book Poppy I wonder why Lungwart, Poppy's dad, made Poppy go with him instead of any of her other siblings? Another question that I have is, I wonder why Lungwart respects Mr.Ocax so much? I also wonder why Lungwart is so hard on Poppy and why he doesn't think in his daughter's shoes? I also do not know why Mr.Ocax makes the deer mice ask for permission to go places, and why he can't just let them be independent and take care of them selves?
ReplyDeleteI wonder why laura why listening to Joel and Berth. I wonder why Slaves go underground to escape? Why did laura have to with her aunt. Why are Joel and Bert at Laura's house?
